One of the rarest tunics for Flieger belongs to the Tony Schnurr Collection. It´s a tunic for a Sergeant (Feldwebel) in the Riesenflugzeug-abteilung (Giant Aircraft Detachment) 501. This is a privately purchased tunic and manufactured in high quality Feldgrau ribbed wool with four rear panels. Single Gardelitzen on the collar and double Gardelitzen on the cuffs, correctly adheres to the regulation for Fliegertruppen. The buttons throughout are light grey, correct for Fliegertruppen. The chest awards are the 1914 Iron Cross and the Prussian Pilots´s badge as featured in this article. The ribbons are for the Iron Cross 2nd class and the Saxon St. Henry Medal in silver.
